It’s Friday. The 80s dance party is done (it’s going to be all Whitney, all weekend). Alec has finished his quesadilla dinner, had a bath and is now enjoying his baby massage before bedtime. And my husband and I are looking forward to settling down with a glass of something yummy and homemade veggie burgers (delicious recipe from the best veggie burgers my husband ate while we lived in Atlanta). It’s Friday!
Here are some things I came across this week that I thought you might enjoy! Meet back here Monday (at the latest – I might just squeeze in a post or two over the weekend too)!
My Godmother brought Alec this great bath toy from Yookidoo yesterday. We tried it out for his bath this evening and he really liked it.
We are just starting to get into battles of wills (and guess who usually wins?), temper tantrums etc. with Alec and it is definitely the biggest parenting challenge we have experienced so far. I found this article on three ways to say “no” to your kids helpful.
Remember this post recently about the importance of building executive functions? Executive functions have been discussed on hellobee recently as well – here is the post including some good links for further reading.
Lovely water colors are perfect in the nursery!
I think you can learn a lot about parenting by observing how parents of other cultures raise their children. Right now I am reading a lot about parenting à la francais, and apparently this book has some good points.
This watercolor project seems so soothing and uplifting at the same time. Lovely!
And lastly, who doesn’t love quiche?
