I’m crazy about this project by Modern Parents Messy Kids. They think of the best stuff over there!
What better way to get your child excited about letters than to make an alphabet book that is all about them and full of things they recognize. Brilliant. Definitely head over to MPMK and check out the entire book for some great letter suggestions. I can’t wait to make this for Alec once he is just a little bit older.

I’m thinking if making one for Clara. Not for reading but for learning words. Sometimes she is not familiar with certain words in some if the word books we “read”. She has never worn mittens and certain fruits she does not care about. But if I put a picture of her on a swing I’m sure she’d learn the word swing in no time.
That’s a great idea! I completely agree that it is all about finding those words and pictures that your child will connect with.
