So, I’m definitely not a big fan of pink for girls and baby blue for baby boys (although I think baby blue is lovely for little girls). But we are actually considering a palette of airy blues for Alec’s room in our new flat. We just think it might suit the room with its light grey walls and creamy white trimmings. And Alec already has several lovely pieces in different shades of blue that would be nice to accentuate. Like the beautiful cashmere baby blanket that his Dad got for him at our favourite store in India, Good Earth, long before we were even expecting a baby. Or the cuddly soft blue bear belly blanket from B. Braithwaite that friends gave Alec when he was born. I love grey and blue together – I think it’s a very serene backdrop for a small child’s space.
