So Alec has been on solids for a month or so now and towards the end of our looong trip, I was running out of cooking ideas for him. Once home, I was so happy to crack open my new favourite cookbook: Cooking for Baby by Lisa Barnes.
I knew I needed to vary the ingredients more, and I knew we were ready to start introducing herbs and spices, but I wasn’t really sure how to do it. So I am loving that this book has so many appetizing-looking recipes using both familiar and unfamiliar ingredients that I can easily prepare for Alec. Today he’ll be having fresh mint with his peas and homemade peach purée for dessert. And next on the menu is risotto, amaranth, lentils and stew! Good times ahead.
I highly reccommend this book if you’re making your own baby food!
